At Erskine Stewart Melville, our students benefit from outstanding teaching, exceptional pastoral care and a wealth of opportunities that help them discover their strengths and pursue their ambitions.

From science and engineering to medicine, the arts and sport, our young people are encouraged to think boldly, work hard and develop the confidence to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

Why Join at S1?

S1 is an exciting point to join our community. Students quickly build new friendships, explore a wide range of subjects and become part of a school that encourages them to aim high while remaining grounded, kind and resilient.

What to expect at S1 Assessment

S1 Assessment Day takes place on Thursday 7 January. Students will spend the day at School taking part in a series of age-appropriate assessments designed to help us understand their strengths and potential. These assessments cover Literacy, Comprehension, Maths and Teamwork skills.

The day is about much more than assessments. Students will have the opportunity to meet other prospective students, get to know our campus, and experience some of the activities that make life at our School so enjoyable. It’s a chance to make new friends, explore their future surroundings, and gain a real feel for the exciting opportunities that await them in S1.
