Our Campuses & Facilities
Spacious and Well-Equipped Campuses
Erskine Stewart Melville is split across two campuses. At the moment Nursery-Primary 3 and The Mary Erskine School are based on our Ravelston campus, and Primary 4- Primary 7 and Stewart’s Melville College are at Queensferry Road.
From August 2026, our Nursery and Junior School will be based at Ravelston and our fully co-educational Senior School will be at Queensferry Road.
Our School grounds are expansive and beautifully maintained, offering a safe, fun and inspiring environment for students to learn, play, and grow.

Our historic architecture blends seamlessly with modern facilities, creating a space that honours our heritage, while embracing innovation.

Sports and Outdoor Facilities
We have extensive sports facilities at both Ravelston and Queensferry Road Campuses, along with our playing fields at Inverleith for Rugby, Hockey, Athletics and Cricket. The sports facilities are designed to cater to a wide range of activities, from traditional team sports to individual pursuits. The schools feature well-maintained sports fields, tennis courts, a swimming pool, and sports halls. Outdoor education is also a key focus, with plenty of green spaces and dedicated areas for outdoor education, promoting physical fitness and a connection to nature.
Specialist Areas
Specialist areas, such as art studios, design and technology workshops, and language labs, allow students to explore and develop their skills in a supportive environment. These facilities are designed to inspire creativity and innovation, providing students with the tools they need to excel in their chosen fields.
