ESMS Community Coffee Morning
Join us on Tuesday 6 May from 10am-12pm for a special morning bringing together pupils past and present to celebrate the joy of reading over coffee, conversation and a few light-hearted book related games. This time we will be at The Dean, 67 Dean Path, Edinburgh EH4 3BG.
Which books from your school days have stayed with you? Are there any you wish you’d discovered earlier? And how do different generations connect with literature in different ways? This is a chance to chat with our pupils, reflect, share experiences, and pick up a new reading recommendation or two.

ESMS Town Hall Update
This session will provide insights into the vision for our future, the benefits of the merger, and what this means for students staff, and our wider community. Please feel free to share any questions you have in advance, by emailing development@esms.org.uk. For those unable to attend in person, the session will be live-streamed, and we will record the session for later viewing.

These regular monthly lunches in conjunction with the SMC FP Club are open to all in the ESMS Community and are a great way to catch up with friends in a relaxed environment. Lunch will be soup and a meat or fish main for £19 per head with three courses available for £21 per head.

SMC Summer Social
Bookings are now open for the 2025 reunion, scheduled for 7 June 2025. Planned gatherings include celebrations for the DSMC Class of 1975 and the ESMS Classes of 1985, 1995, 2005 and 2015. Alumni can secure their spots and look forward to another day of cherished memories and renewed connections by visiting https://www.trybooking.com/uk/DOWX.
I am looking forward to meeting alumni not just from SMC and MES, but from GWC and EA too at the drinks event in California. It will be a great opportunity to reconnect and reminisce about our school days, and maybe some sporting rivalries, together.
