Erskine Stewart Melville London Club

The London Stewart’s College Club was formed on October 1906 whilst the Edinburgh Institution Club was founded in the late 1870’s and a tradition developed of holding a biennial dinner on the eve of the Calcutta Cup thus enabling the Edinburgh and London Clubs to attract each other’s members depending on the match venue. The Edinburgh Institution was renamed Melville College in 1932 and In 1973 when the schools merged so did all the club traditions.

In 2023 and 2024 membership was widened to include Former Pupils of The Mary Erskine School and the Club renamed as the Erskine Stewart Melville London Club and the Annual Dinner is now a great ESMS occasion for Alumni of all the Schools and their partners and friends.

The objects of the Club are to form a bond of union between and promote the interests of those in the London and surrounding areas who have been connected either as pupils or staff of Erskine Stewart Melville School, Stewarts Melville College, Daniel Stewart’s College, Melville College and The Mary Erskine School and to maintain and encourage co-operation between all former pupils and the School.  For more information, please contact
