The night opened in true Scottish style as Robbie Sinclair, School Officer, piped guests into dinner. Attendance was excellent, with the room filled by familiar faces and new members alike.

Guest speaker Shona Fleming, Chief Executive of ScotsCare, spoke about the London-based charity’s mission to support Scots in need.

Anthony Simpson, Principal, gave an update on developments across the Schools, offering a welcome connection back to Edinburgh and the thriving life of the ESM community today.

Two exceptional contributions from current students were a real highlight of the evening. Evie Brown, School Captain, delivered a poised and heartfelt speech that resonated strongly with the audience. Robbie later returned to the stage to share his own remarks, rounding off his earlier piping performance with a thoughtful speech that was warmly received.

The combination of tradition, talent, and community spirit made for a truly special night. It was wonderful to see so many people come together to celebrate shared heritage, strengthen connections, and look ahead to another successful year for the London Club.

Please save the date for next year’s dinner, which will be held on 12 March 2027.
