Recognising the Value of Volunteering

The Principal’s Thank You Reception took place during national Volunteers’ Week – a fitting time to acknowledge the many individuals who give their time and skills to support school life.

Held in The Dean, the evening brought together parents, former pupils, staff and friends of the school, all of whom contribute in a wide variety of ways. From helping at events and supporting trips, to serving on committees or coaching sport, the impact of volunteer involvement is felt across the whole community.

Anthony Simpson, Principal, welcomed guests and shared a few words of thanks, highlighting the important role volunteers play throughout the year before Katie Ridland, Chair of the Board of Governors, talked about her own volunteering experiences at ESMS.   The event provided an opportunity to show appreciation for this support and to connect with others who give their time to the school in different ways.

We are grateful to Witherspoon Motor Services for kindly sponsoring the event. Their support helped us mark the occasion and recognise the contribution of our volunteers in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

Thank you to everyone who volunteers their time – your involvement makes a real difference and is genuinely valued.
