Outstanding 2025 SQA Exam Results

We are delighted to report a set of excellent SQA examination results for 2025, at The Mary Erskine School and Stewart’s Melville College, at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher levels.

These outstanding results come at an exciting time for the School, as we prepare to open the doors of Erskine Stewart Melville as a fully co-educational School from August 2026.

The Mary Erskine School

• At National 5 our S4s achieved a pass rate of 98.3%, with an A/B rate of 94.4% and an A rate of 84.1%
• At Higher level our S5s achieved a pass rate of 97%, with an A/B rate of 91.2% and an A rate of 75.4%
• At Advanced Higher our S6s achieved a pass rate of 91.6%, with an A/B rate of 76.3% and an A rate of 51.5%

Stewart’s Melville College

• At National 5 our S4s achieved a pass rate of 95.5%, with an A/B rate of 87.8% and an A rate of 70.2%
• At Higher level, our S5s achieved a 95.8% pass rate, with an A/B rate of 86.1% and an A rate of 61.1%
• At Advanced Higher level our S6s achieve a pass rate of 88.6%, with an A/B rate of 72.8% and an A rate of 49%

Anthony Simpson, Principal of Erskine Stewart Melville, said:

“These brilliant results reflect a huge amount of hard work from our students and our teachers. Our students have worked very hard, while also juggling a vast range of extra-curricular activities. I’m extremely proud of what they’ve achieved. Our ambitious and varied curriculum is a real strength, and as we move towards becoming a fully co-educational school, it’s clear that our students are well supported to succeed, whatever path they choose.”
