The ISOTY Awards celebrate innovation and impact across the UK’s independent schools, and judges praised the fantastic quality of student output, as well as the range of opportunities available for pupils to get involved in Music and Drama – not just at a high level, but in ways that build confidence, connection and joy for students of all ages.
Session 2022/23 has truly been busy! Our students have taken part in over 40 concerts, musicals and productions, including the Middle School performance of Shrek the Musical, the P7 rendition of Matilda, and the Senior School interpretation of Our Town. Our dancers lit up the stage in the spectacular Junior and Senior Kaleidoscope shows, while our Pipers, Drummers and Highland Dancers performed at Greyfriars Kirk, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, and the Beating of the Retreat at Edinburgh Castle.
Alongside this small snapshot of performances, our co-curricular clubs span everything from choirs, jazz and rock to scriptwriting, stage tech, props, makeup, and more.
We’re incredibly proud of the way our students throw themselves into creative work – and of the brilliant staff who curate such a vibrant calendar of performances each year.
